Under the agreement, President Kwak Ho-sang and CEO Choi Won decided to focus their efforts on industry-academic cooperation projects and strengthening human resource capabilities.
Abov Semiconductor, headquartered in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, is a fabless semiconductor company that provides solutions such as various types of microcontrollers (MCUs) and logical integrated circuits (Logic ICs).
Based on its long experience in the MCU field, it developed its own high-performance analog IP.
It is providing sensors and Bluetooth LE Soc (System-on-chip) through its strengths in the MCU field for consumer electronics.
After completing the agreement, CEO Choi delivered a scholarship to an excellent student in the electronics department.
He said, "We will try to ensure that companies grow through talent trained based on Geumo University of Technology's excellent education program, and that growth leads to a virtuous cycle that leads to regional and national development."
Kwak Ho-sang, president of Geumo University of Technology, said, "We recognize that the important thing in the rapidly changing industrial field in the era of digital transformation is to cultivate competitive manpower.
