Plan to supply mass production to overseas electric vehicle manufacturers
Images Technology Co., Ltd. announced on the 18th that it has signed a contract with an overseas semiconductor company that specializes in mass-producing and supplying automotive semiconductors to diversify its business.
Based on this contract, it has laid the foundation for diversification of customers and a foothold that can expand the product line concentrated on smartphones and laptops to automobiles. It plans to mass-produce contracted products to overseas Top 5 electric vehicle manufacturers from 2023.
In addition, negotiations are underway with domestic automakers on applicability, and based on continuous cooperation with customers, new market-oriented products and solutions will continue to be developed.
It has partnered with Cirque, which already has strengths in laptops, and has been mass-producing and supplying them to notebook markets such as Dell and Lenovo since 2022. This contract is noteworthy in that it has achieved results in terms of business diversification and application diversification with various partners.
Images Technology is developing and supplying SAR (Grip) Sensor, Touch Screen IC, Haptic Driver IC, and MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission) IC, which are semiconductors specialized for smartphones, and plans to continue to diversify in existing business parts.
Meanwhile, Image Technology Co., Ltd. is a fabless company that provides smartphone-specific semiconductors such as Haptic Driver IC, MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission) IC, Touch Screen IC, and SARSENSOR IC to Samsung Electronics and major smartphone manufacturers in an original equipment manufacturing (OEM) method.
